The Club HEC Lausanne in New York is officially launched! The kickoff event took place on April 24th in the New York offices of the World Economic Forum with the participation of nearly 70 Alumni & Friends. Special guest of the night, HEC Lausanne Professor Suzanne de Treville - currently visiting faculty at MIT Sloan gave a keynote presentation on "Made in the US – Made in Switzerland: The challenges and opportunities of domestic manufacturing.”
The Clubs HEC Lausanne aim to gather the Alumni community together, for socialization meetings, panel discussions and networking events. Already present in European and Asian cities, the New York chapter is the first club launched in the USA. International financial hub, New York is a premium work destination for HEC Lausanne alumni and consequently a strategic location to strengthen the reputation and visibility of the school towards employers. HEC Lausanne can currently rely on a network of nearly 100 Alumni in the New York area.
HEC Alumni took advantage of the kichoff event to renew old acquaintances and network with former classmates. Prof. Suzanne de Treville was particularly delighted to reconnect with some of her former students, now young professionals based in Manhattan. In addition, the local alumni chapters of other Swiss Universities, including EPF Lausanne, ETH Zurich, University of Zurich or EHL Lausanne, graced the occasion with their presence at the event.
