Last Wednesday we welcomed local entrepreneurs, investors and startups to a thrilling shark tank-style presentation of the Swiss startup iRewind, given by its co-founder David de Picciotto. This event was organized in collaboration with the Swiss-American Chamber of Commerce, NY Chapter (SACC), and the Consulate General of Switzerland in New York. It was held at our co-working space, WeWork Charging Bull, located in the heart of the financial district.
iRewind captures, assembles, and delivers our life events as personal video memories. It's a hardware and software solution that automatically records, edits, and distributes personalized movies, delivering live edited videos to the mobile phone, ready for private viewing or social network sharing. Discover the iRewind experience here.
de Picciotto pitched this concept to a jury of three judges: Marley Kaplan, Executive Thinker at mkThinkThank; Jason Shuman, Investor at Corigin Ventures; and Brett Brody, Director of Business Development at VentureOutNY. After the presentation, the judges evaluated and analyzed the business idea, provided tailored feedback, and asked David critical follow up questions about iRewind.
The presentation and discussion was followed by a cocktail reception, sponsored by the Consulate General of Switzerland in New York.
We would like to extend special thanks to the Swiss American Chamber of Commerce and the Consulate General of Switzerland for their help in putting on and promoting this successful event.
