Full House for swissnex’s Special “Spring Break” Happy Hour

Yesterday, swissnex Boston’s New York Outpost invited alumni from Swiss universities living in the New York area to celebrate Spring Break over wine and cheese at our coworking space in the Flatiron District.

Over 50 alumni from various Swiss universities mingled with Silicon Alley start-up founders and other residents of the coworking space CoWork.RS, which houses swissnex’s NY Outpost.

After a brief introduction by Senior Project Leader Oliver Haugen about swissnex, our activities, and the importance of alumni networks worldwide, our guests enjoyed a fine selection of cheese (Gruyère, Appenzeller, Vacherin fribourgeois, Emmenthaller, Holzhofer, and Casatica di bufala – a delicious outlier from Italy) and Swiss wines Baiocco from Ticino and Compleo from Zurich. Alumni even got a taste of home with some freshly baked “tresse” bread and Hero jam!

This informal happy hour was put together by the team in New York, and echoed the previous Swiss Alumni event in October 2014, co-organized by EPFL, EHL and IMD – an event that brought together around 200 guests.
